Latin name - Salvia officinalis L.

Herbal Tinctures are an alcohol and water based preparation that are a traditional and convenient way to take herbal remedies.  The herb is steeped in a mixture of alcohol and water for a period of time before pressing. All the benefits of the herb are captured in the tincture. 

 

Please check with your healthcare practitioner if you are taking any prescribed medication before using St John's Wort tincture as this may affect the way the medication works, including the contraceptive pill.  Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Dosage is normally between 1ml and 5ml added to a little water up to three times a day.

Getting better

There are two reasons I’ve gone back to using this product. As someone with an under active thyroid and goitre , and being a certain age !, I found weight loss hard and energy levels low and self esteem low because of my condition. A balanced medication doesn’t mean you are always at a stabile level yourself . Taking St John’s Wort tincture helps to lift you in the low times and therefore helps motivate you to be more active and get out of a slump.
