Why do we like the British Airways website?
British Airways, which was the top airline by passenger volume up until 2008, is the largest airline located in the UK in terms of fleet size, international flights, and overseas destinations. In 2008, the airline carried 34.6 million passengers, whereas easyJet, a competitor, carried 44.5 million, surpassing British Airways for the first time. British Airways is authorized to transport people, goods, and mail on aircraft with 20 or more seats thanks to its Type A Operating Licence from the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority.

Although Heathrow Airport serves as British Airways' primary hub, Gatwick Airport is also a significant hub for the airline. It also maintains a facility at London City Airport, the busiest airport in the city, where its subsidiary BA Cityflyer is based. Manchester Airport used to house a sizable hub run by BA. Routes from Manchester to New York (JFK) were discontinued, and later, when the subsidiary BA Connect was sold, all international services outside of London were also discontinued. Regional UK destinations to or from which BA passengers intend to travel internationally must now be changed in London. British Airways, which controls 40% of the airport's available slots, dominates Heathrow Airport. Most BA services are run out of Terminal 5.

Short haul
Economy class
British Airways' economy class, known as Euro Traveller, is available on all short-haul flights within Europe, including flights within the UK. The standard seat pitch ranges from 29" to 34" depending on the kind of aircraft and where the seat is located. All Heathrow and Gatwick flights include a buy-on-board system with a selection of meals created by Tom Kerridge. Through the British Airways mobile app, food may be ordered in advance. Alternatively, a constrained selection is available for on-board credit and debit card purchasing.

Business class
All short-haul flights provide Club Europe, the short-haul business class. The majority of airport business lounge access and free onboard meals are available to passengers in this class. In the conventional Airbus configuration, the middle seat is unoccupied. On restored airplanes, a cocktail table unfolds from under the middle seat. On lengthier flights, blankets and pillows are offered.

Mid and Long Haul
World Traveller
The mid- and long-haul economy class cabin is called World Traveller. It provides complementary food and beverages, blankets, pillows, and seat-back entertainment. All A321s, A350s, A380s, B777s, and B787s include AVOD personal TV screens. Every row of seats on Airbus A350, A380, Boeing B787, B777-300ER, and refurbished B777-200ER aircraft has an AC power outlet and a USB plug-in point. Both US and UK plugs are accepted in the outlets.
